Circular lantern slide depicting illustrations of Albert Smith's ascent of Mont Blanc. Albert Richard Smith climbed Mont Blanc in 1851 and gave a one-man show about his ascent in London from 1852 -1858. He sold a variety of Mont Blanc merchandise. Contemporary advertisements suggest these lantern slides were part of a portable peep show sold at the Egyptian Hall in 1855.
