Student Work
Spinal Rotation During Running
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerAnalysis was conducted to determine the correlations, through testing, between the three dimensional ground reaction forces and spinal rotation during running. Data was simultaneously collected during trials via force plate, mechanical spinal rotation device, and high speed video camera. The center of pressure, ground reaction forces, moments in the x, y, and z directions, maximum angle of spinal rotation, speed of the runner, and the acceleration, velocity, and angular acceleration and velocity of each leg segment were obtained for analysis.
