The Centre for Education and Research in Environmental Strategies (CERES), located in Brunswick, Victoria, Australia, wanted to connect their Indonesian cultural education program with their overarching theme of environmental sustainability. The goal of our project was to produce videos of Indonesian personal narratives to enhance the cultural village exhibit at CERES. To achieve this goal, we conducted 22 in-depth interviews, and discovered that flooding, industrialization, and water access were common environmental concerns among our Indonesian interviewees. Videos on these topics were then produced with clips from the interviews. We recommend that CERES seamlessly integrates the videos with activities in the Indonesian cultural village to provide an immersive educational experience.
