open in viewerThe Colorado Basin alpine tundra region has been introduced to new climate changes and it has affected the plant communities greatly. The plants in this area are very sensitive to changes because of their adjustments to such a harsh environment. Limited research of the plant communities in this region makes knowing what is happening up there difficult to predict. This project reviewed the literature related to how climate change in the alpine tundra of the Colorado Basin and described what may be happening to the plant communities and understand why or how the ecology of this region may be in jeopardy.
