PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe Contingency Planning Unit of the London borough of Hounslow is looking to expand and improve their current emergency communication system to effectively warn and inform its dynamic, transient, and diverse population. Through archival research and interviews with emergency management organizations and academic experts, we analyzed various communication options and evaluated public response and the importance of the warning message. We concluded that Hounslow should use multichannel communication to warn and inform its population before, during, and after an emergency.
