The Webster Police Department serves a town of approximately 17,000 people, a growing number of which are Hispanic. Many of the Hispanic people only speak Spanish. The Webster Police Department has never had official documents available in the Spanish language and only employs one Spanish speaking employee. By translating police department forms into Spanish, the Hispanic community can now feel more comfortable during their interactions with the police.
