CanalSpace -- managing the use of Venetian canals
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThis project gathered data about the interaction between boat traffic and parking in Venice, Italy in order to identify criteria for the allocation of permanent and temporary parking permits. To monitor and implement these changes, we designed an electronic parking management system to assist the city in reducing the amount of time needed to process permit applications. The implementation of this system will thus benefit both the citizens and the city, and will help decrease the cost of traffic congestion.
