This project focused on developing a pre-hospital medical service for pediatric and OBGYN care with the development of a S.L.A.T.E. Ambulance that can support laboring women, newborns, and young children. Through background research, performance specifications, brainstorming, and analysis an ambulance box was designed, and an appropriate chassis was selected. With special storage devices, improved captains chairs, an incubation station and enhanced setup, this ambulance and chassis presented a greater opportunity to enrich the quality of pre-hospital care across the country.
