Controversies surrounding Heisenberg's involvement with the German atomic bomb program during World War II are discussed. Historical and moral questions are identified and resolved through use of the Farm Hall transcripts, letters by Niels Bohr, and secondary sources. The case is made in favor of Heisenberg, and connections to modern society are explored.
