Despite the importance of pre-hospital care, much equipment used by Emergency Medical Services personnel is outdated and causes personal injury. Furthermore, EMS effectiveness is based on the provider's educational background. For this project, a survey was conducted with EMTs of various levels and several companies in order to identify problematic equipment. For the second part, a CPR course was set up to determine the efficacy of current education guidelines through the students' evaluations of current teaching techniques.
