Riverlands Site Development

open in viewerThis project involved the design of a recreational site in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Designs included the trail surface, erosion controls, a trailhead parking area, and a replacement for a washed-out culvert that crossed the trail. A site survey and hydrological analysis were performed to obtain necessary background data. Two design alternatives for both the parking lot and culvert were created and evaluated based on multiple criteria. These alternatives were presented to the Sturbridge Trails Committee and then updated to produce recommendations.
