Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) might be able to detect a predisposition for sexually inappropriate behavior. This IQP explored the ethical, legal and societal issues associated with this emerging technology. An "fMRI Non-Disclosure Act" was drafted to protect the individual while this technology matures. Ultimately, society will benefit greatly from this non-invasive medical imaging tool. It can quantify the therapeutic progress of individuals. It might alert individuals of their predisposition and consequently provide preventative treatment options to mitigate an offense.
