This project researched the effect of moisture build-up under firefighter turnout gear. The goal was to determine if scald burns could be tested in a lab setting to facilitate future research. Large-scale testing and small-scale testing were conducted. Theoretic equations were developed to analyze the empirical data. The overall outcome was that while the scald burns were registered with our methods, our techniques should be refined for more reproducible results.
