The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has noticed the recent transition in the design of juvenile products to multiple purpose products as well as a change in the materials utilized. These changes pose concern for possible safety hazards. Methods such as personal interviews and the analysis of CPSC data systems were used to determine if the transitions were adding unneeded risk to children. Recommendations were made for the Commission to further investigate these transitions.
