This Interactive Qualifying Project studies several aspects of the stock market through literature review and a series of simulation-based experiential studies. In particular, we first review what stocks are and how they are traded, the major U.S. indices and overseas indices, and a few commonly used investment strategies. We then discuss how the development of technology positively and negatively impacts the stock market. Finally, we compare a number of commonly used investment strategies and identify key factors affecting people's behaviors based on our experiential study.
