This project examines properties exhibited by the social network of Worcester Polytechnic Institute's (WPI) students, staff and faculty. Using e-mail as the measure of social interaction, we statistically and graphically analyzed the data to determine the social interactions within various groups as well as the entire community. Properties studied include communication differences between genders, amount of communication between the administration and various groups, the effect of changing terms/classes on communications between teachers and students, and how class year affects correspondences.
