This project examines the literature of immigration concerning negative or positive effects on the U.S., and then attempts to move the debate toward more "objective" ground by employing a statistical analysis of immigration population from 1965 to the present in several categories, as assessed separately by the three project team members. The project also develops five case study biographies and concludes, using SPSS software, that this new methodology demonstrates immigration had a modest positive effect on the U.S. economy and American technological development.
