This project involved the development of a property information database and Geographic Information System (GIS) map layers for the Boston Landmarks Commission and the Boston Redevelopment Authority. The project group surveyed industrial sites in South Boston and subsequently created a database that allows the city to preserve historic sites while facilitating development of underutilized areas. The data collection methodology developed can be used to expand the database to include the entire City of Boston in the future.
