This project was designed to create a lesson plan for high school students that would teach them basic engineering skills. The lesson plan we created focuses on teaching the students simple design process concepts. We have incorporated a project that will teach buoyancy as part of the lesson plan. For the project, the students will have to build a boat and test if for maximum weight in water. The boats were of two different designs and constructed of three different materials.
