Transgenic animals are animals that have been genetically modified by inserting foreign genes. This paper reviews how these animals are created and the applications they are used for. The ethical and legal aspects of these animals is also considered as potential measures of this new technology's impact on society, and the paper concludes with thoughts for the future of these animals.
