We worked with the Duang Prateep Foundation, a charity organization, to help protect the community and local firefighters of the Klong Toey slum in Bangkok, from the electrical hazards associated with fire. To accomplish this goal, we assessed the feasibility of an electricity cut-off system. We then went on to develop a procedure for faster electricity cut-off through better communication between the volunteer firefighters and the Klong Toey Electrical Board. We also provided information through the use of brochures and demonstrations to improve fire safety awareness within the slum community.
