The Escuela Agrícola San Francisco de Asís in Cerrito, Paraguay emitted wastewater directly into a wetland. A leach field was designed and constructed to solve this problem. Literature study, interviews, and site analysis provided necessary information. Escuela Agrícola students helped with construction. The completed leach field serves the boys' dormitories, the cheese factory, and the laundry building. The system includes two ports to test water quality prior to and after filtration. To maintain the system, the Escuela should grow only grass on the leach field, regularly inspect and empty the septic tank, and put only septic safe materials down the drain. The washing machines' greywater should be disconnected from the system.
