Worcester, Massachusetts has a record of poor air quality₂. This is likely due to Worcester’s Post-Industrial urban landscape. We found that the development of green space was an effective solution, but required more resources than we had to bear. Therefore, our group created pamphlets to educate the citizens of Worcester on implementing green space into their homes to address this problem.

This project attempts to increase community development and commemorate the loss of two firefighters in East Kensington, Philadelphia. By proposing a blueprint of a memorial community garden to the city and assessing the cost, the project has the potential to positively impact residents of the area as well as the environment by creating a green alternative to the vacant space.

As a result, they are frequently faced with poverty and homelessness.

The problem isn’t that there aren’t enough effective programs in Worcester; the problem is that kids have no way of getting to these programs.
