Robert Goddard is considered by many to be the father of modern rocketry, and it was in Worcester that Goddard was raised and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as conducted much of his early rocket experiments. The Worcester Memorial Auditorium is a public facility that is currently unused. The purpose of this project was to assess the designs of the Auditorium, and present preliminary plans for the reuse of the auditorium as a museum for Robert Goddard. With a primary target audience of middle school aged children, the exhibit would encompass the first, second and third floors of the auditorium. In this project, the preliminary research for this project was performed, presenting proposed concepts and objects to exhibit.
