PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerStem cell research has been a controversial topic for a long time with strong effects on society. Misinformation about the subject seriously complicates the issue. Stem cells are undifferentiated or 'blank' cells of a multi-cellular organism that are capable of developing into many different cell types that perform different functions, and thus they show medical potential for treating various diseases. In this project, various types of stem cells are discussed, along with how they have been used to benefit society. Also discussed were their ethical and legal issues.
