The aim of our project was to measure the perceived and actual heating habits of University of Worcester students. We accomplished this goal using interviews to gather the students’ perceived behaviors. Then, we observed their actual behaviors through Worcester-Bosch smart heating data loggers. By comparing our two datasets, we found the students’ actual behaviors to be inconsistent with their perceptions. Additionally, there are external factors that affect the usage of the system, and student education and motivation to use the system is low.
