The Boy Scouts of America Mohegan Council is a non-profit organization that teaches valuable lessons such as outdoor skills, leadership skills, and the value of brotherhood. The clients that the Mohegan Council services are boys from ages 10 to 18 and their families. - Across the United States, Boy Scout participation rates have been dropping annually, about 7.4% this past year (Merchant, 2016). There is a large amount of competition with other after school activities such as after school sports and after school clubs. - The goal of this report is to describe the situation of that the Mohegan Council is in, with its current strengths and weaknesses. It will also focus on laying out a plan for the Mohegan Council to follow in order to fix the issues that they are currently facing.
