Abstract

The Chinese white dolphin population in the Pearl River Estuary is currently facing a drastic population decline in part due to marine traffic. This project assessed the feasibility of easing the impact of marine traffic within the dolphinsÂ’ habitat. By conducting direct observation of marine traffic and the Chinese white dolphin, surveying Hong KongÂ’s general public, and interviewing related stakeholders, we were able to provide recommendations to aid in conservation efforts.
