An interactive computer demonstration on physics concepts was built and studied as a method to stimulate students' interest in introductory physics topics. We set up a computer on the main floor of Olin Hall, displaying a webpage featuring interactive physics-themed Java applets. The setup was built in an area of high foot traffic to increase the number of students interacting with it. We made a short survey available for the student to fill out if they wished, and from this we sought to determine their interest level in the physics concepts being demonstrated. Lack of survey responses prevented any solid conclusions from being drawn, however, general trends suggested that the applets themselves did stimulate interests in students, but the website layout and appearance needed improvement.
