The goal of this project was to analyze and compare local and national recycling and waste disposal policies. Data obtained from state and national agencies were analyzed to identify the most effective recycling and waste disposal practices. The town of West Boylston was inspired to implement a Pay as You Throw program following the presentation of the results from the analyzed data. Mandatory recycling at multifamily dwellings and curbside composting were suggested as practices that could improve Worcester's Sanitation Program.
