The Indian Lake Watershed Association has been addressing the problem of aquatic plant overgrowth throughout the lake for several years. The ILWA asked our team to replicate a survey conducted in 2013 by a previous IQP team to determine the cause, severity, and possible solutions of the issue. The team conducted a survey of the lake, produced interactive maps to show results, updated the ILWA website, and developed a Revit LTâ„¢ contour map for the lake and surrounding landscape. The team also created a interactive map for the ILWA to monitor the stenciling of storm drains leading to Indian Lake. In the end the team proposed possible solutions to the association. The project ended with a presentation to the ILWA, the community, and members of the press.
