Sonification- A brief study in music
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe objective of this study is to explore the art and science of sonification. Sound has a profound effect on our day-to-day lives, and even has medical and psychological applications. In addition, sound can be derived from nearly anything with which we interact, whether we realize it or not. In the process of studying this phenomenon, a computerized method of sonification was developed to turn wind data into a form of musical notation. This combined information should give a better understanding of how music and sound work in our everyday lives. -
