The purpose of this project is to investigate and assimilate information on many topics related to stem cells, and determine the impact of this technology on society. The 1st chapter is an introduction to stem cells. The 2nd chapter is an explanation of the current and potential applications for stem cells in disease treatment. The 3rd chapter delves into the ethical issues surrounding the stem cell debate. The 4th chapter examines the policies involving stem cell research throughout the world, and the impact of the technology on society. Through deep research it was concluded that stem cell research has the potential to be extremely advantageous to society. With current legislative practices under President Obama, there is no limit to the improvements stem cells can have on our culture.
