Abstract

The WPI Teaching Practicum was partially fulfilled, which required a number of hours of both observing and teaching the students. This teaching practicum was completed in high school chemistry at Doherty Memorial High School. The Interactive Qualifying Project Report submitted includes the demographics and history of the school, the chemistry courses taught, the course materials developed during the practicum,descriptions of the students in each class taught, the types of assessment administered to the students. The report concludes with a discussion of the overall student teaching experience. The appendices provide all materials devised throughout the teaching experience, including daily lesson plans, observation notes, homework, tests, and quizzes.
