This project focuses on problems revolving around the helicopter emergency medical system program, focusing on problems in cost, transport time, and accidents. The current helicopter emergency medical system situation is examined to find areas of improvement or problems in expenses, transportation time, and safety. Solutions include shipping fuel from cheaper locations, interest in helicopter research, the placement of more landing zones, isolation of the pilot from the patient, and communication codes to further isolate pilots from trauma.
