Abstract
This project was to develop a supplementary 8th grade science curriculum with a space theme to increase student interest in STEM fields and improve student test scores on standardized tests. This resulted in a plan and a set of curriculum units field tested in a classroom at Christa McAuliffe Charter Public School with teacher Dan Anderson. The project relies heavily on comparison between space topics to teach critical thinking and problem solving.
