This report, prepared for the DNER, evaluates Las Perdices Wetland of Río Abajo for the implementation of recreational and educational activities. The karst landscape, soil, wildlife, and endangered species were especially considered to ensure they continue to thrive. Through extensive field data collection, interviews with experts from the DNER and USFWS, and unlimited guidance from the DNER liaisons, the WPI group recommends the development of an interpretive trail system, with informational signs, observation deck, updated Visitor Center and virtual tour.

  • This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
