Abstract
This research project investigated the topic of stem cells, from various types through their effect on humanity. In the first two chapters, the different types of stem cells, and their uses and applications are described. The latter two chapters discuss the ethics and legalities that govern stem cell research among global societies. Through the research presented regarding types, applications, ethical considerations, and legal constraints, the authors of this IQP conclude that, armed with the right knowledge, stem cell research performed in an ethical manner is a technology that should continue to be funded and researched, as great potential of this science has already been proven, and it can potentially improve the quality of life or save the lives of millions.
