Abstract

High school mathematics teachers are pressured to teach their students a large amount of material in a limited amount of time. The Assistment Project is designed to help these teachers assist and evaluate their students in preparation for the MCAS exams. There are different methods to explain a certain problem using a computer, but only two have proven to be effective. This project attempts to reach a conclusion as to which of these two methods is more successful in providing the student with a better learning experience.
