International tourism is essential to the economic well being of the Caribbean region. However, this development and prosperity are threatened by many complications such as over pollution, environmental degradation, and cultural disempowerment. This is a study of the facts involved in promoting sustainable economic development in small island states, specifically those in the greater Caribbean region.
