Abstract

One of the important economic questions for communities in the United States is the decision of the level of staffing that is appropriate for the fire risk of a community. This project explored fire department staffing in two ways. One way was through a study of staffing analyses. A second way was to determine a relationship between staffing and the time till agent application on an analytical basis. The feasibility of developing a mathematical model for this analysis was explored.
