Stimulus sensitive polymers that can change their function based on temperature, pH and/or other physiological parameters are having a dramatic impact on the healthcare industry. The objective of this project was to identify current technologies and evaluate emerging applications that are based on these polymers. The research indicates that these polymers are enabling scientists to develop new non-invasive surgical procedures and targeted drug delivery systems that minimize side effects and recovery time.
