The advancement in the field of Nanotechnology would perhaps lead to several consumer and scientific applications. The potential implications of nanotechnology are ascribable to experimental research and scientists speculate that the technology will have a huge impact on the society. In this report the scientific, technological and prospective context of nanotechnology is illustrated, and then the latent social impact of nanotechnology in several fields is discussed within the framework of current and potential future achievements in those fields.
