Abstract

The objective of this project was to determine if student portfolios could be logistically feasible and able to document measurable growth in certain skills that occur during the off-campus IQP experience. Three groups of three WPI students completing their IQPs in Washington, D.C., during B term 2000 were asked to produce portfolio entries that contain self-reflective essays concerning their teamwork, confidence, and IQP goals. Student portfolios were shown to be logistically feasible, however they weren't able to show measurable growth.
