The Sounds of WPI Project worked to identify and preserve the characteristic sounds of Worcester Polytechnic Institute through a series of surveys, focus groups and direct observations. Based on research of popular online communities, the Sounds of WPI Project developed the framework for an online sound submission system whereby people across the world can contribute the characteristic sounds of their cities to a growing online community.

• This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
