This project involves a study of the inherently safe class of nuclear power plants and those evolutionary plants that exhibit safety on par with the inherently safe designs. A concise technical treatise on these reactor designs' safety systems, as well as a report on their current states of development/implementation, is presented to support conclusions made. The conclusions include a comparison among the designs, a global nuclear power market analysis, and a comparison between nuclear power and fossil fuel burning.
