Abstract

This project is a Delphi study of the likelihood that "breakthroughs" in space technology will transform that field by the year 2050. It is based on assessments provided by a panel of researchers recruited from the ranks of researchers funded by NASA's Institute for Advanced Concepts. In conjunction with 2 prior panel studies of less expert panelists, it became a study of the impact of expertise and cognitive style [on] rating[s] of technological promise.
