This project prepared for use in the distance-learning course Compliers and Programming Translation taught at Worcester Polytechnic Institute created algorithm animations to improve the students' ability to understand the material. Through research, discussions with the professor of the course, Karen Lemone, and a student questionnaire, problems with the current methods of presenting the algorithms to the class were identified. Once these issues were identified, animations of the algorithms were developed that addressed the learning difficulties of the students.
