This project recommended changes to the existing meter collection and parking enforcement operations in the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The project team estimated the revenue yielded by each meter, ultimately creating a new set of meter collection routes aimed at reducing lost revenue caused by meter malfunctions. The project team examined enforcement route characteristics, including issuances and turnover rates, to identify means of improving parking enforcement. A standardized method was developed for creating on-hand field references for the enforcement officers.
