Abstract
This project studied the effects of student mobility on MCAS scores. Two groups of students were analyzed as they participated in the eighth and tenth grade MCAS tests. Mobile students were then defined as students who are present for only one of the two tests. Mean scores of mobile and nonmobile students were compared, and mobile students were found to suppress MCAS averages. Other demographic factors were analyzed as well.
